Andy Gordon

Andy Gordon - Horatio Alger Jr. I am not sure how old my copy is-- the pages are very yellowed and brittle. No publication date is in the book, but an inscription in front say "Christmas 1942"....
This was a wholesome book, about a boy named Andy, who is honest to a fault, is always kind, considerate, thinks of his mother and others ahead of himself, and never complains. He is clever, and things always work out for him in the end. He is almost like a male Pollyanna. He has a knack for foiling the bad guys and ensnaring them in their own traps. I liked this book-- it would be alright for young readers to read.... though Andy was too good to be true. lol.
