At first, this book was slow-going for me, but I stuck with it. It was not one of my favorite books, but it had some value in examining prejudices that were common 30-50 years ago. The prejudices that Sky Castle dealt with were gender, age and race and did a fairly good job of looking at how, in particular southern society looked at these issues, and focused on how these issues effected persons in their daily life. I admired Devlin Youngers spunk and spontaneity, but would have had more respect for her character had she not been so free with her body. The book was alright, but I won't read it again, as I would my favorites.
