I found Harness The Storm a heart wrenching tale of children suffering at the hands of others, and what often happens in foster care, and the trauma they endure goes on to effect them the rest of their lives. I didn't dislike the book, but it was difficult to read at times, knowing that these things do happen everyday. The book chronicles not only Danni Hoffman's , her sister's, and an "adopted" brother's experiences, but follow her through her later life as she tries to find answers, closure and right wrongs. It is an eye-opening example of the foster care system and an example of how very much that broken system needs an overhaul. I received this book in exchange for an honest review-- thank you!
